"Can't believe that those idiots would think that I'd just kill a pair of con artists, and just let the stolen livestock go, without attempting to reclaim my own," Robert said, as he pulled into the very same motel parking lot.
"Well, those fella's aren't the sharpest tools in the shed," said John, as he got out. "I certainly didn't like their comments about me."
"Thank you for showing restraint and not doing something foolish," said Robert. He looked at the sign as he got out. "Well, they allow slaves, pets, and well-behaved livestock."
John spat onto the ground. "I can behave, when I want to."
Robert chuckled. "Well, let's see about getting a room."
They went inside, John slowly following behind Robert, in a submissive manner.
"Got room for me and my Prime Grade Breeder?" Robert asked.
"One room, or do you want separate rooms?" the vampire receptionist asked.
"What do you mean by two?" Robert asked.
"Last werewolf that came in, rented a separate room for their human cattle - a female A- one, if the markings were any indication," the receptionist said. "Still, I guess those government enforcers have their own reasons for wanting a human - like not being able to just simply pay a hooker to have sex with."
"Did you notice any farm markings?" Robert asked.
"I did," the receptionist said.
Robert made a motion, and John came up to him, and showed his wrist. "Were these the markings?"
"Yes," the vampire said. Then, their eyes widened. "That one has the mark for Dangerous! I don't allow Dangerous livestock in my motel!"
"He's Tamed, so long as you don't sneak up behind him," said Robert. "Watch! John, hit me!"
At this, John started to shake.
Robert grinned. "Couldn't hit me even if I told him to."
"Your responsibility," the receptionist said.
"Now, where is this agent staying at?" Robert asked. "I don't think that they paid for the use of my livestock."
"101 and 102 - they're joined rooms, with a shared door," the receptionist said.
"We'll take the room next to them then," said Robert.
The receptionist tossed them a key. "Have fun."
Robert walked away, John following behind him.
"I hate it when you do that to me," John muttered.
"It was that or sleeping in the truck," said Robert. "Besides, you know that there's nothing stopping you from defanging that receptionist."
"Only real blessing of that Taming," John muttered. "You and your family are the only ones I can't hit, but I can hit anyone else."
