[Ayo, thx to the dude who made this interactive it's so flippin' awesome :D]
It was 1988, a glum time for the city of Ellay. A few months ago, dark matter gathered on the tip of Mount Itoi, looming over the western United States and people have been mysteriously disappearing left and right, entirely without notice. Still, even with a blanket of unease, Ellay gets its annual thousands of tourists, its bustling nightlife and mesmerizing seaside view seem to always draw in a crowd. And, when things wind down for the night, they all flock to Ellay's grand hotels.
As the lamps dim, Ninten, Ana and Lloyd all flop down on their massive beds, seemingly fit for royalty. Having spent the past few, gruelling hours in the harsh swamp, they all needed a bit of rest before continuing on. It's been weeks since their mission started, and now, the end is starting to draw near and halting the mysterious phenomenon seems more and more like a reality.
They've all grown, feel older, hell, sometimes they honestly forget they're still 13 years old, but with their psychic powers expanding at every moment, it seems like they can take on the world.
"Y'know, it was hard to believe I'd ever visit Ellay and yet, here we are." Ana pondered, looking out the window at the seemingly endless city lights.
"Yeah, me too. Ma said that it was always 'too expensive' to ever come here" Ninten added. After stepping foot in Ellay blew his mind, it was ginormous compared to the cow-town of Podunk where it would take half an hour tops to go from one side of the town to the other.
"Hey, Ninten?" Ana turned to the dark-haired boy.
"Yeah, Ana? What 'cha need?" Ninten asked, a flurry of thoughts entered his mind. Well, ever since he met her, Ninten feels... something special for her.
"I just wanted to ask you if you... y'know needed some healing, you took quite a hit back there in the swamp."
"O-oh! Yeah, now that ya mention it I do feel kinda... bleh" He fumbled. Heat slowly climbed onto his cheeks. Ana summoned PSI Lifeup to her fingertips and gently grazed his arm as the healing light did its work.
"There we go, all done! Just tell me if it starts flaring up again." Ana looked up and smiled at him.
And reminiscent of a chemical reaction, the strong feelings in Ninten's mind reacted with his ever-growing psychic powers.
