"Sis!" Jada said, watching her sister play Alex's face, "Please, stop messing with him!"
Sydney laughed and sat in a chair, next to him. Alex thanked god that, different from her niece, she didn't just sit on his lap. With her massive weight, the boy was pretty sure he wouldn't be able to feel his legs if she did.
"Well, JJ", she said, playfully pronouncing the nickname she gave her sister, "I am here actually for him! I think that the first step for changing the way people see crackers, would be they starting to do some hard work, you know, just like how they used to make us do..."
"Work? You mean, a paid job?" Jada asked, "Alex, that's great! This way you would be able to maybe live on your own someday! I mean, we love having you around but... since white people can't even go to school anymore, this way you would at least do something with your life, right?"
"Y-yeah..." Alex said, timidly, "You are right, miss Jada..."
Grinning, Sydney continued, placing her hand on the boy's fluffy blonde hair:
"Well, there are a lot of options for work for, but, I have one in mind that must be just perfect..."
