Alright I don't what to do the whole "when does this take place" as that is annoying and can just inflate a interactive so instead I am gonna give you a few ideas, and you can make your own.

Transmigrator Ainz-
Instead of being transferred into the new world with all of his items, and NPCs Instead Ainz' soul is put into one of the characters, you can decide to have the NPCs come too and they try to find Ainz not knowing he's in a different body or not. For this option I say he becomes Arche as that can be a fun story of course you can use this idea for other characters.

Glitch- when he gets iskeai'd into the new world he swaps body's with one of the NPCs, you can have Ainz' body still around, have it the NPC in control, a copy of him, or who the NPCs believe he is, I think him turning into one of the LV.1 maids with this would be a fun idea of course like the previous option you can go with different characters.
