The metal jail door closed and locked and John Dodge sighed. He was caught soliciting sex for the third time and the judge gave him a ten day sentence for a repeated felony. John, who was born Perkins Hamilton, looked at his home for the next three days. It was a small cell, a bed, toilet, a sink and a small window to an alleyway of the back of the Police Station. John was glad he wasn't shipped upstate to the state penitentiary where the real criminals were. If they heard what he was in for he would become very popular and very sore in no time. But then days in jail wasn't too bad. It came with a bed, three meals, a roof over top of his head and the usual orange two piece jail uniform that was a little loose on John's slim frame. But John was worried where he would come up with the money to pay rent. He didn't have many other skills other than being good at sex. Still, he had time to think about his options.
"So is that the Dodge?" came the voice of one cop down the hall.
"Yeah, that's him," came the voice of another cop.
John got closer to the bars and looked down the hall to see the two officers. The one inquiring about John was leaning up against the guard desk giving full view of his soft sagging gut over his waistline. The officer behind the desk nodded making his double chin jiggle with each nod.
John came to the realization that all the officers he saw around the station were rather chubby if not down right fat. John knew that crime in the city was down but he expected to see at least one officer who looked like he had abs, but all seemed to be sporting dad boss, beer bellies or were down right obese maybe weighing two or even three times as much as John. John did find bigger men more masculine and did swing both ways, it was part of the job.
