The brakes of the pickup squeal as you pull into the pump. The old truck has seen better days but it always gets you where him where he needs to go. With a huff Sam clamors out of the the old beater slamming the door shut behind him. A hesitant glance given to the price of the gas but with no other stations for miles a little price gouging is to be expected.
Sam slips his credit card into the machine getting the pump started before shuffling off grab a cup of coffee for the road. His boots scuffing against the limestone of the parking lot with each step as he makes his way inside.
He pays little attention to the clerk as he pours out the last of the twelve hour old coffee into a styrofoam cup and heads to the counter his eyes peeking up at the sight of the clerk behind the counter.
