Two huge Converse shoes come towards me. I look up to see Alice, who now looks to be tall as a skyscraper. Each step she takes causes the ground to shake a little. "Where did he go," I hear Alice mutter to herself. As she nears, she spots the necklace on the ground. Alice bends down to pick it up when she spots me. "What the hell?"
Two of her huge fingers wrap around my body. She lifts me up to the palm of her hand to examine me. Her skin is soft and warm, with a sweet scent of oranges. "I must be dreaming," she mutters. "Or tripping. I knew I shouldn't have eaten those brownies Justin made. It would be just like him to lace them with something."
"You are not dreaming," as I say the words, Alice jumps in fright, almost dropping me.
"What happened to you?" she asks.
"It's kind of a long story," I state.
Before I can start explaining, someone calls for Alice. "I will be right there," she responds as she stands up. Alice replaces the necklace on the display case. Looking down at me, she says. "You will have to tell me your story later; the boss needs me. I will have to hide you for now."
