"Exactly how does this work?" Curious, I asked. "I mean the Google camera does not really see..."
Ty smiled. "The optic nerve sends signals to your brain." Patiently, he explained. "The Google glass shades sends signals to the microchips built into it."
"So I'm mentally picking up these signals?" Trying to understand, I asked.
Ty nodded. "Just like a radio picks up signals from the radio stations." Smiling, he said. "As far as I have been able to figure, it's some weird kind of telepathy to help me hear and you see."
I looked around, completely mentally blown away. "This is so freaky..."
Ty giggled. "Imagine how I felt." He raised a finger. "The Google glass shades only have one camera so you won't have much depth perception."
"Just as you can't always hear everything around you." Catching on, you said.
Again, Ty nodded. "I can only focus on one source of hearing at a time. If I try to focus on everyone's hearing, it will overwhelm me and that causes headaches I'd rather not think about."
He shuddered at the thought as did I, remembering the headache of seeing from several angles at once. It was like looking through a kaleidoscope only instead of different colors, it was what several people were seeing at once. I shook my head, refocusing on the task at hand.
"How do I keep myself focused on one source at a time."
Ty giggled. "How do you play a violin without sounding like you are aggravating a cat?"
Catching on, I nodded. "It takes practice." I rolled my eyes. "Terrific..."
