Standing out from the rest of the drab garb, Melona made a surprising find. The dress was a bright cherry-red, a black collar holding up the front while the back stayed open, and a slim skirt that went down to the knees, along with a matching pair of gloves. Melona frowned, the dress looked similar to the figure-hugging gown her mother would wear from time to time, and that alone made her consider walking away, until she saw the price. For a dress so nice looking, it was dirt cheap. And the longer Melona stared at it, the more she reconsidered. Finally, she relented and grabbed the dress off of the rack, heading into an open changing room.
She was surprised how well it fit her. Most people weren't as skinny or flat as she was, and so the majority of clothes she owned was ill-fitting in one way or another, but the dress fit perfectly on her, even clinging in such a way that her non-existent curves looked just a tad bigger. Looking at her reflection, she also couldn't help but acknowledge that the color didn't look bad on her, and something this bright might be eye-catching enough to get Millie's attention. It was a shame she didn't have shoes that went well with it, but for the price, she could do much worse. She slid the gloves on as well, and was surprised by how graceful it made her hands look.
"Not bad at all..." Melona muttered. As she looked in the mirror...
