A New Challenger "Rolls" Into Town

Of course, everything eventually went wrong, and in the span of about three seconds.

A young girl, running instead of walking, slipped on the ground below the lifeguard chair. Gasping, Mari leaned forward to hop off the seat and jump down to the ground to make sure that the girl was okay.

No sooner had she done that than a speeding volleyball sliced through the air right towards where Mari's head had been a nanosecond before. Since Mari moved, the path for the ball was now clear, and so it sailed on...right towards you, as it crashed into the arm rest and, subsequently, you. You weren't even remotely able to react fast enough to defend yourself, and you soon found yourself crushed flat by the force of the ball's impact.

Even worse was that, as the ball bounced off the arm rest and continued its momentum past the lifeguard chair, you found yourself horrifyingly still stuck to the ball. The impact crash had been just enough to adhere you to its surface, and you let out a tiny scream of terror as the ball sailed away, spinning around and around and around, with you stuck to it nauseatingly.

And to truly put salt in the wound, Mari didn't realize a thing had happened. Her full attention on the young girl who had tripped, your oblivious girlfriend didn't even hear the volleyball smack into and bounce off her chair. She merely approached the young girl, soothed her cries, and then carried her to the other end of The Oasis where the first aid station was. Knowing plenty of other lifeguards were on duty to watch Mari's area, your compassionate girlfriend stayed with the young girl for the twenty minutes it took to treat her cuts and scrapes.

By the time Mari finally returned to her seat, she didn't even notice your absence, having temporarily forgotten that she'd even taken you with her to The Oasis in the first place!

Meanwhile, you were crushed into the hard pavement several more times as the ball continued bouncing, until the unruly ball finally rolled to a stop (unfortunately with you facing down into the pavement, the weight of the ball causing just enough pressure to stop you from reforming). As you bemoaned this twist of events, you still held onto hope that this would just be a minor incident and that you'd be resting safely back in Mari's care any minute. In fact, as you felt the ball lift into the air and saw the shadow of someone holding it, you even believed it was probably Mari, here to be your gorgeous guardian angel.

Your hopes were dashed, then, as the ball was tilted and you found yourself staring up at the pretty, sharp-featured face of a silver-haired lifeguard who was decidedly not your girlfriend.

From the angle that the girl was holding you, you were able to take in the majority of her appearance, and it was certainly a sight to behold. The girl was nearly as curvaceous as Mari, and her substantial proportions were straining against her bright red one-piece uniform. More noticeably, the girl's tanned skin was rippling with clearly defined musculature. The girl was somehow the unbelievable balance of hefty curves and full muscle, and the sheer amount of her toned physique on display made you blush with embarrassment just looking at her.

After a moment, you noticed the letters stitched across her chest (and swelled to a comically unreadable degree thanks to the girl's abundantly sized chest). The letters read 'SELENA'. You were hit with the vague recollection of having met Selena a few times in the past, but you truly didn't know much about the girl. She was on friendly terms with Mari (and, if you recalled, the girl was prone to frequent teasing and flirting with your girlfriend, which was hopefully just in good fun). However, by the way the girl's dark eyes passed over you without pause made it clear that the recollection you had for Selena was not currently shared by the girl herself.

The silver-haired beauty chuckled under her breath. "How did you get over here, little ball? That must've been one hell of a hit!" Selena shook her head ruefully and tucked the volleyball under her arm. She then started carrying the ball back towards the volleyball court it had come from, on the other side of The Oasis.

While she walked, you began focusing your efforts on reforming, trying to seize on your chance to alert Selena to your presence and get her to take you back to Mari. However, before you could even pry a single squished limb from the ball, your eyes went wide as Selena's hand slapped down onto you painfully.

Not even paying conscious attention to what she was doing, Selena began scrubbing at the ball under her arm while she walked. She vaguely spotted a few weirdly discolored spots when she'd picked it up, and figured the girls at the court might appreciate a bit of a cleaning-off of their ball for the sake of pure aerodynamics. Of course, Selena was aware the sandy court would just get it dirty again, but she'd always been a bit of a perfectionist in little, inconsequential areas of her life, and so she kept scrubbing at the ball with reckless abandon.

You mentally cried at the silver-haired woman to stop, but it was simply no use. In a single painful minute, Selena's probing fingers squashed and contorted your body, working into your malleable form and twisting you out of shape. While you had previously been a little man-shaped sticker on the side of the ball, you were now an elongated tan blob that was practically glued to the ball's side. Though you didn't know it, your tan skin tone actually blended in quite well with the splotches of tan already on the ball, from years of sand particle and dirt specks rubbing against its surface. You were practically unnoticeable now!

Selena finally reached the volleyball court, and was greeted by three enthusiastic college girls.

"Oh my god, thank you!" The first cheered. "We didn't expect the ball to go flying that crazy!"

Selena laughed. "It's not problem. I'm just glad it didn't hit anyone." Selena spoke with total sincerity, since of course she had no idea what she was now dragging you into.

The second girl flashed a thumbs-up. "I guess we just got carried away. Paige needs to wind back on that hammer arm of hers!"

The first girl, Paige, blushed. "H-Hey! It's not my fault I'm putting in twice the work!" She put her hands on her hips. "There's only three of us, remember? So I'm all by myself, Gigi!"

The second girl, Gigi, merely shrugged. "Look, it's not my fault I want to team with my girlfriend, okay? Maybe we'll switch Roma back and forth between rounds?"

The third girl, Roma, huffed. "You don't have to talk like I'm not here, Geebs." She rolled her eyes at Selena. "These two are impossible to play with."

Selena smiled at the three girl's enthusiasm. "So you're all down a partner, huh? Mind if I step in for a game?"

Paige's eyes lit up. "Oh my god, would you? Please, please, please help me crush my friends!"

Selena held up a hand. "Now, I'll only have time for one game. First to score five points, alright? I am on the clock, after all." The silver-haired lifeguard rolled her shoulders and stretched her back (seemingly oblivious to how hard the three younger girls stared at her as she did so), and then Selena kicked off her shoes and stepped onto the sand.

Gigi paled. "Uh, wait, what? Paige gets a literal Greek goddess on her team, and I'm stuck with Roma?"

Roma slapped her girlfriend's butt, and had a look of mock indignance on her face. "Alright, you're fixing your own dinner tonight."

Gigi grinned. "It was a joke, babe. We've got this!"

Selena smiled warmly at her opponents. "Thanks for the praise, but it's strength training I'm good at, not necessarily volleyball. If that hottie over there..." Selena pointed to none other than Mari, who was kneeling beside the young girl at the first aid station. "...was also here, then you'd be in trouble. That girl's got a competitive streak a mile-wide. If she tagged in, we'd all be in trouble!" Selena had a faint red tint in her cheeks as she spoke.

While all of this talking had been going on, you'd redoubled your efforts to try and reform, as thankfully Selena had stopped mashing your body into the volleyball. Sadly, the damage she'd one already as too great, and in the sparse minutes of time you'd had, you'd made no progress in even reshaping your human features to aid in your visibility. You were still a pathetic little tan smear, and you quivered in fear as you found the ball based to Paige, and you stared up into the grinning face of the perky redhead.

Selena winked at Paige. "I heard you've got a 'hammer arm'. Want to serve us up for a win?"

"Oh my god, awesome!" Paige gushed, then smiled cheekily at her friends. "You two are totally going down!"

Resting the ball in one hand, Paige reared back with her right hand in a clenched fist. As cruel fate would have it, the blissfully unaware girl titled her ball so that you were directly positioned to be slammed in the face by her fist as the game began.

You gulped, and Paige's fist swung out, connecting with your body.

1) Paige's hit pounds you into the ball even more, and there's no hope of accidentally sliding off now. As the game carries on, you only end up more engrained into the ball, to the point where you're practically fused with it when the game ends. However, what comes next with you stuck to the ball so horribly you'd need help to get free?

2) Paige's wild hit actually knocks you free, and you begin drifting away from the court. However, a cross breeze blows you right back towards the toned, curvy form of Selena. Sadly, the lifeguard is so focused on winning that she doesn't notice you at all as you drift down towards her feet.
