After getting praised by her Mom for letting 'his sister' drive the car, Courtney made her way up the stairs to her room. Last year, after she made the honor roll for the entire year, her Mom was nice enough to convert the attic into an extra room and gave Bri or Courtney a chance to move up there. Well, that certainly didn't go to plan since they both literally fought to have their own room. In the end, Josh was the one given the larger room and Bri had taken over his old room. As she did, she was called out by Bri. "What are you doing going into Courtney's room?" She asked clearly confused at what why Josh was heading into the wrong room. "If you're trying to read her diary, there isn't anything new in there." Bri replied with a wink.
"You're reading my diary?" Courtney asked, angry that her personal stuff had been rummaged through and her previously safe secrets were now out in the open.
Blinking for a moment, Bri just stared at Courtney. "What are you talking about your diary?" As she did, a mischievous grin grew on her face. "Joshie, do you have a diary too? Are you writing what you want to do with Jenn in there? Where is it hidden?" She asked in rapid succession in an attempt learn her brother's deepest secrets.
After hearing her new name, Courtney realized that she wasn't currently in her own life. Not wanting to give her sister an idea of what was going on, Courtney played it off as nothing. "What, no." She replied with a smile until she realized that the room that she wanted last year was finally hers. "See ya Bri, I got a call with Jenn." Courtney lied as she quickly made her way up to her new room. Opening the door, she quickly covered her nose. "What is that smell?" She asked herself, nearly gagging. "It smells like frito chips and Orange Dream air freshener." Looking around, she found old socks and underwear laying on the floor with a couple empty air freshers sitting in the outlets. "If he thinks that he can make me clean his room for him, he's got another thing coming." She swore to herself as she sat on the bed. "Boys are so disgusting."
Just downstairs, Josh was getting questioned by his Mom. "So what did it take for him to let you drive?" She asked, clearly impressed that Josh had let his sister drive home in his car.
Embarrassed at being dressed as his sister, Josh shook his head. Feeling his longer hair starting to hit the side of his head, he thought of something to say. "I guess, I put my foot down and told him to let me drive." Josh replied. "I'm going to go up to my room and rest a little. I think today is kinda getting to me." He let out a fake yawn trying to prove his point.
Thinking something is off about what is going on, Kim nodded her head. "Okay." She said in a drawn out way that made it sound like she was suspicious about something. "Well, I will let you know when dinner is ready, alright sweetie?" She gently stroked her daughters hair in a loving manner.
Glad to be free, Josh quickly made his way up to his room where he found Courtney busy picking things up. "What are you doing in my room?" He asked trying to figure out what was going on. "And why do you have gloves on?"
Hearing her brother in the doorway, Courtney turned to see him still dressed up in her clothes. "Oh hey SIS." She replied back emphasizing his new role. "I was just picking up MY room a little so it won't be too messy. You know how messy boys can be, right SIS?" She gestured to the mirror where Josh saw himself picking up the clothes.
"This is too messed up." He said with a groan as he hopped up on to his bed and lay flat. "Mom thinks we're each other, Jenn doesn't know what to do, and I have to wear your clothes." Josh groaned gesturing towards his chest where he was wearing Courtney's bra. "Do you know how uncomfortable this thing is? I mean, its been digging in since I was helping Kira with her History homework." He glanced over at Courtney, who was just staring at him. "What?"
"Really?" She asked tossing the pair of boxers that she had in her hands into the hamper that was near by. "I've been wearing that stuff for years you dork. Of course I know how uncomfortable it can be." She got back up and pointed over towards the door. "Now if you don't mind, I'm trying to clean MY room." Rolling his eyes, Josh left the room and made his way over to his temporary accommodations.
