Chapter #4

Option E

    by: Nickolosaurus Author IconMail Icon
Selecting Option E, you decide to keep the drone focused on the Triceratops while informing the ground team about the mysterious heat signature. "Alex, we have an unknown heat source in the bushes. I'll keep the drone on our dino friend here, but we might need someone to check it out," you relay through your headset.

"Copy that," Alex responds. "I'll send Jenkins and Ria to investigate. Keep an eye on our prehistoric pumpkin eater."

You watch as Jenkins and Ria, two other DPW rangers, cautiously approach the area where you marked the heat signature. The drone's camera continues to feed you images of the Triceratops, which seems oblivious to the human activity around it.

As Jenkins parts the bushes with a long pole, Ria ready at his side, a small dog bursts out, barking excitedly. It seems the animal had been more curious than frightened, and thankfully, it's unharmed. The rangers quickly secure the dog and scan its collar for an ID chip.

With the mystery resolved and the dog safely returned to its owners, the DPW team can now focus on the Triceratops. You breathe a sigh of relief; it was a good thing you opted for a simultaneous approach. Now, with the public's eyes on the DPW, it's crucial to handle the Triceratops situation smoothly.

Jenkins radios in, "The area's clear, and the little escape artist is heading home. How’s our big guy doing?"

The Triceratops is still peacefully feeding, unaware of the drama it has caused. It's time to formulate a plan to guide it back to a safe habitat without causing distress.

You ponder your next move:

Option I: Use the drone to gently herd the Triceratops away from the populated area, back towards a route that has been cleared for its passage.
Option J: Arrange for a transport team to come with a vehicle large enough to relocate the Triceratops, ensuring its safety as well as that of the community.
The decision at hand is critical — it’s not just about the logistics of moving a massive creature, but also about public relations. The world is watching, and the DPW’s actions will set a precedent for future incidents.

You have the following choices:

1. Option I

2. Option J
