(Author's Note: Wow, this is nerve wracking. Honestly, I feel a bit out of my depth here (mainly due to my lack of anime knowledge) but I'm going to try to do this as best I can. And hopefully get into the groove of things. Let's a-fucking GOOOO!! *insert primal dragon scream here*.)
Eevee looks around, confused about where they are, but the sight of three humans "surrounding" them causes the Pokémon to freak out and hide.
"Hey, wait!" Ash calls out as Eevee crawls under one of Prof. Oak's machines. "Did I do something wrong?" Ash asks.
Oak shakes his head before clarifying, "That Eevee is... a rescue. It'll take time before it decides to trust humans again."
"Oh, what happened to them?"
"Team Rocket did some experimenting on it. I tried to analyze what happened to Eevee, but they never let me get too close. I hoped that you would be able to bond with them and possibly understand what Team Rocket did to it."
"Well, you can count on me, Professor. I'll befriend Eevee and give Team Rocket a piece of my mind as well."
Oak smiles. "That's my boy." Oak then hands Ash Eevee's Poké Ball, five more Poké Balls, and a PokéDex. "Good luck, Ash."
"Thanks, Professor," Ash says before slowly walking over to Eevee. The Pokémon backs farther away the closer Ash gets. "Hi, Eevee, do you want to come on an adventure with me?" Eevee can feel the sincerity coming from Ash, but her instincts keep telling her not to trust the human. Ash sees that Eevee is considering it. Maybe a calming tune would fully convince her?
