This choice: They found a room with Katara's name on it • Go Back... As the paired searched, soon they stumbled on a hallway with several doors. One was different, as it was blue instead of grey. As they stopped next to it, both where shocked. On the blue door was a sign. Katara's Room, it said. Katara looked at Zuko, with curiosity.
"OK, why do you have a door with me name on it ?" Asked Katara, Zuko shrugged.
"Maybe it has to do with the fact I summon you." Said Zuko, Katara just glared at him.
"Maybe we should check it out." Said Zuko, Katara sighed. Hoping there was clothes inside for her.
"Fine, you first." Said Katara, as she was still completely naked. Zuko opened the door and the paired entered.
Both where stunned as the inside looked like something from one the igloos at the Southern Water Tribe. The walls where blue and white. There was several pieces of furniture, like a bed, dresser and other stuff. They where all blue and white, with fur blankets on the bed. The rugs looked like rugs back home,Katara thought. The walls where filled with Water Tribe art and stuff.
"OK, how did you get all of this ?" Asked Katara, as she couldn't make sense of this.
"I don't know. Again, it has to do with the fact I summon you." Said Zuko, as he couldn't think of anything else.
Katara grabbed a blanket off the bed and warped it around her. Next she looked around for clothes. To her disappointment, the closets and all draws where empty.
"Really." Said Katara, then she growled in frustration. She sat on the bed. She noticed a frame on a piece of furniture next to the bed. She gaped as she picked it up. To her shocked, it had an image of her mother. She could help but start crying.
"Katara ?" Asked Zuko, as she slowly approached her. He moved his head to looked at the frame. He blushed as a picture of a beautiful young woman was inside.
"Did you have an older sister ?" Asked Zuko, the woman looked like Katara. She stopped crying and looked at him.
"That's my mother." Said Katara, Zuko gulped as his blushed deepen.
"I see where you get your beauty from." Said Zuko, smiling. Katara looked at him.
"Trust me you're not the first that mistook my mother. She always looked much younger then she was." Said Katara, smiling.
"I'm sorry, she was taken away from you." Said Zuko, Katara looked at him.
"You don't know how it feels. I was just a small child. The Fire Nation came one day. I raced back home but there was already a Fire Nation soldier there. He was threatening my mother. Demanding to know where was the last water bender was. My mother lied to protect me. She said it was her, then the man grinned. Then he struck her down, right in front of me. He laughed as he left." Said Katara, once again crying.
Zuko looked at her, he knew how she felt. He knew it was his nation that cause hee great pain.
"You have my word, when we return to our world. I will order this man found and then I will give him to you. You can decide his fate. I promise as the Fire Lord." Said Zuko, knowing this was all he could do.
Katara stopped crying and looked at him. She stared into his eyes. She knew he wasn't lying.
"You would really do that, give one of your own people another nation for punishment ?" Asked Katara, Zuko nodded.
"Like I said in catacombs. I know how you feel. I know what's it like to lose your mother because of Fire Nation cruelty." Said Zuko, thinking back to what happened to his mother.
"Really you where forced to watch helplessly as you mother was killed right in front of your eyes." Said Katara, as she stood up and glared at Zuko.
"Yes." Said Zuko, as he didn't flick. Katara was puzzled by this, Zuko wasn't lying.
"Do you want to know ?" Asked Zuko, Katara nodded.
"It all started when my uncle failed to capture Ba Sing Sa." Said Zuko, he then told her about how his father tried to steal the throne away from a grieving Iroh. How his grandfather was furious and demanded Ozai to kill his first born son. Katara gasped in horror.
"How ?" Asked Katara, as this was completely horrible.
"It's not over." Said Zuko, he told him that his mother came to him in the middle of the night. Saying she did what she did to protect him. She kissed him, said goodbye.
In the morning he and his sister was told their grandfather had died the before.
"Your mother...." Said Katara, Zuko nodded. Katara looked down, Zuko's mother could still be alive.
"It gets worse. A few days later." Said Zuko, he told her about how his father had summoned and then brought them to the high security prison. He took them to a cell deep in prison. Inside was their mother, she was naked and looked like she was beaten badly.
"My father grinned, as he told us that she offer to kill my grandfather to protect me. I promise to let her go, but of course the murder of the last Fire Lord couldn't go free." Said Zuko, Katara hated Ozai even more then before.
"My mother's face looked so sad, so defeated. I didn't know as a child but she was most likely raped as well. Then my father said this what happens to traitor. Then he struck her down, right in front of me and my sister. So yes, I know perfect well how you feel." Said Zuko, he was being stoic but Katara saw the sadness in his eyes, the pain.
"I'm sorry." Said Katara, lowering her head.
"Don't worry, I got my revenge. You deserve your." Said Zuko, smiling. Katara couldn't help it. She hugged and smiled. Zuko gulped, as his face turned red. Katara was only wearing a blanket but he warped his arms around her.
