When you first arrived here, Nebula had been intimidating and at times downright scary, but over time she seemed to mellow out a bit. You had helped her with repairs before and decided to offer your help again.
“Need a hand?” you asked as you approached the cyborg woman.
Nebula looked up, black eyes narrowing. “If that's another stupid Terran pun…” she growled.
You waved your hands defensively. “No! No! That’s not what I meant!” you yelped. “I just was wondering if you needed any assistance with repairs, is all.”
Nebula sighed. “Right; sorry, (Y/N). Yes, if you hold it still while I work, it would be greatly appreciated.”
You nodded as you sat beside her and grasped the mechanical arm. The limb had gone through several upgrades, courtesy of Rocket, but you still knew what you were doing when it came to the tech that was required for it. “Has it been acting up?” you asked curiously.
She shook her head. “I wouldn't go that far, but nanotech is tricky. I constantly need to make sure everything is running smoothly.” her face contorted in annoyance as she shone some light on the open part of the arm. “Damn. I need a new chip; this one’s out of date.”
“I don't suppose Rocket has one lying around?” you asked.
“No. We had to get this one from the Nova Corp. I’ll have to return there for a new one. Thank you for your help, (Y/N).”
