Queen wasn’t sure how to respond into her comms link. She had followed Oracle’s directions, and raced through the dark depths of Mementos on Anat’s back to locate their missing leader. She couldn’t help but think it was completely unlike him to flee from battle like that. It seemed that whatever that odd shadow had hit him with had made him abandon all rational thought.
As she stepped down the escalator to a lower level, Queen was relieved to find that Joker’s signal had led her to a safe waiting platform. He remembered what to do in case any of them got separated at least. And if she looked carefully, she could see something inside the glass seating area and rushed over to get a better look.
Queen let out a gasp, bringing her hand to her mouth, and blinking out her surprise.
“Queen?” asked Noir’s voice over the team radio. “Is Joker alright?”
“Y-yeah,” she answered back, slowly approaching the figure. “Joker’s safe he’s just…”
