Back inside Laura's brain, an indicator saying "WAKE UP" was getting close to the max, indicating that Laura was about to wake up, possibly by the digestive disturbance.
Also the gauges and buttons on her control panel linked to the digestive system, including a screen with a model of her current digestion process.
It indicated that the stomach was already empty, however the small intestine and large intestine were full of work. The rectum was filing up very quickly, it won't be far for Laura to empty her bowels, but thanks to David's arrival. It will be him who's in charge of this process.
