Someone goes on a journey with a unique pokeflute. GP's for additions.
This choice: Red  •  Go Back...
Red was playing his SNES when he was snapped out of his trance by his alarm. Today was finally the day he was going to get a pokémon, he was more exited than normal because Oak said he was keeping a pokémon just for him. He grabbed the potion he bought the day prior and went downstairs.

There was his mother having breakfast. "Oh, Red. Today's the day isn't it? Are you going to eat first?"

Not wanting to be late, he only had a few rounds of toast.

As he left, he went towards the tall grass and looked out at the world as he had everyday since he turned 18. Today though, he did something he never did before, he walked into it.

He picked up a pokéflute, wondering what it was doing there. It looked clean, so whoever dropped it couldn't have been far. Not knowing whose it was, he decided to pocket it when he heard Prof. Oak.

"Red, what are you doing?" He practically yelled in a panic. "You know it's too dangerous out there without a pokémon. Come on, let's get you to the lab."

Red didn't see any reason to bring up the pokéflute, Oak would just shut him down with the state he was in.

After getting to the lab, he saw Blue standing next to a table with a pokéball on it.

"Gramps, I'm tired of waiting!"

Oak was confused. "Blue, what are you doing here? I told you to come by later." He gave an exasperated sigh. "Whatever, just wait over there, could you?"

Blue walked over to the other side of the room, not looking happy.

"Thank you." Oak then took Red to the table. "That pokémon is the one I promised you, why don't you take it?"

Red was about to when Blue shoved him aside and took the pokéball. "No way, I'm having this pokémon!"

Oak looked shocked, "Blue! What are you-?" He shook his head. "Whatever. Red, could you follow me?"

Red got up and joined him at the back of the lab. He took out another pokéball, "Red, I was going to give this to Blue but... well you know. So, why don't you have him? Careful, he's got a bit of an attitude on him."

Blue snuck up on Red, "So you have a pokémon too? Why don't we check out what our pokémon are?" He said with it clearly being a challenge.

Red accepted, so Oak took them to the Training Arena.
