This choice: Axel Embers, aka Engi-cubus! • Go Back...Chapter #4Axel the Engi-Cubus by: Keroro04 Axel Embers wasn't always this hot.
She used to be someone much, much lamer than what she was now. She was once Axiomatic Embers, daughter of the Liberty Legion's Cherub and a firm mirror of her mother's actions as the sidekick known as Angel. They were both heavily catholic and acted in perfect unison, finishing each other's sentences and using deep prayer to call divine retribution on criminals. Even off the clock, when she was just Axiomatic and her mother was just Virtue Embers she always listened to her mother.
Then, her 16th birthday came and everything changed.
It was never really sure what had caused Axel to change into the woman she is now, but her mother always assumed that Libertina had a hand in it somehow. Whether it was by slipping her the girl's very first taste of booze or by taking her to the devil's rock and roll, the devout Catholic slowly strayed from the light and turned to more hedonistic acts. But what did Virtue not like about her daughter as she finally grew up into an independent 21 year old woman?
For one, her appearance. Dying her hair from it's natural white to shades of black and red, she very much dressed as lustily as she possibly could to attract the eyes of other women. Latex leggings, high heels, a clip on demon's tail that she could suggestively curl... and of course a black crop top with the words "Your mouth down here" pointing to her khaki shorts. She still wore her cross at least, but now with the rest of her uniform it only blasphemed against everything she considered just and good with the world.
What she felt was worse, and what Axel absolutely loved about herself was how she lived her life. Now living independently from her mother she lived her life as freely as possible. Her day was as full of drinking, eating, and exercise as she could fit in a ten hour period, with various bits of actual heroics sprinkled throughout. She still cared about the wellbeing of others, but now the attention she got on her body was just as pleasuring as the satisfaction that came from saving a life from a demonic threat.
Speaking of demons, they ain't so bad.
She should know, cause after ditching her Angel identity she managed to converse with them and work shit out. Really, the only difference between the two that she could tell was that demons were selfish and openly hedonistic about the world, while angels were more selfless and close-minded. With demons, she could actually get shit done that angels could never do because they were more concerned with order and peace over saving the lives of everyone.
Not that her mother would ever consider such a thing as possible. She was still stuck on that "holier than thou" sauce that she as well as her aunt and niece have been drinking since they were mere babies. As far as they were concerned, demons were just unholy abominations which deserved to be destroyed, whether that be by the holy cross or by the Metapowers that spanned across the entire world.
At least she understood the truth. Slowly changing out from her hot crop top she begun changing into her equally as sexy super suit. It was one of them sexualized spins on an engineer's uniform, with a similar crop top with a bunch of pockets which cut off right below her boobs, alongside some suspenders holding up some tights. It barely took any effort to put it on, after all it wasn't really that much clothing to begin with... though any less and she may get a fine from S.H.O.T.G.U.N for indecent exposure.
"Ugh... you going out for more hero duty?"
On the couch of her messy room, her girlfriend Stellae rested on the couch with a heavy hangover from last night. A succubus with a somewhat curvy figure, she only had a pair of panties on at the moment, leaving her huge H-cups hanging out in the open and drooping to the side as she turned to look at her babe.
"Yeah... don't worry, I'll be back with some hangover medicine for ya."
"That's good to hear. Just... don't bother summoning me to help you. My head's killing me..."
With one last clip on for her tool belt, Axel left the room and got ready to do some hero work as Engi-Cubus. Sliding down seven flights of stairs, she hopped out the front door of her apartment building and wheeled out as fast as she could on her booze-powered Hell Cycle. While she claimed it was from Hell for the cool factor, she had actually built it herself from her old Angel Bike with her mechanical expertise.
She could have made it work on anything besides booze, of course. But she put in extra effort knowing such a fuel just pissed off all those moral guardians, especially her mother. One influence in her life she could say was good though was Industria. Sure, she was a pudgy whale of a woman in the Liberty Legion like Libertina, but she was her mechanical engineering teacher and did her best in teaching how to develop some of her better gadgets, tools and other devices meant for helping her career as a solo hero.
Of course, she never could replicate that woman's power armor. But she didn't need it when she could just open up miniature portals to hell, or replicate any power tool with a single device. She had her own areas of expertise just like anyone else, she just made her field look sexy and dominant.
Pulling up on the scene of the crime, she'd hop off the bike with a skip to her step, her heels clicking on the concrete as she pulled out a wrench. Up above, she could see Mr. Hydrant fighting against one of the Volcanus Twins, Rick Blaze. She had heard that his sister Roxie was downtown taking advantage of his brother's distraction to activate some superweapon to make every day Summer for herself, but Ember had no care whether she burnt the world to a crisp or not.
Her job wasn't that big after all. Rather, she dealt with fixing things and kicking grunt ass.
"Demon summoning program, three imps please!"
As if on cue, the device from which her suspenders extended from glowed the same shade of dark red as her hero uniform as three portals formed and connected all the way to Hell. From them, three shortstacked women emerged, all of them about a foot in height with red skin and pink hair and in bright pink leotards with a heart shaped boob window. She was a regular customer for Imps, so the ones she summoned knew what she liked and dressed accordingly.
"So what'll it be? Save or fuck, Engi-Cubus?" Pulling out a bolt gun from thin air, the head imp smiled as she pointed it towards the building.
"If it's a criminal, fuck them up. If it's just a civilian, save them. I'll focus on making sure this building doesn't explode."
"Got it, boss! Alright girls, time to fuck shit up!"
With that, Axel walked right into the inferno that was the Manhattan Electrical Power Plant, the building melting down around her as her minions cleaned house. With her minions doing work on any mooks still in the building after Mr. Hydrant's arrival she focused on the thing that mattered, aka putting out the fires. She could technically summon a water demon to put out these fires, but she felt that there was a much more fun way to get these fires out of the way.
"Omni-Tool, form of fire extinguisher if you please?"
With a toss of her wrench, Axel watched as it rebuilt itself into the form of an extinguisher in mid-swing before catching it and pulling the muzzle. As the extinguisher drew in air, it converted it from within into the form of fire-retardant gel which then spewed out forward. As it made contact with the flames, the gel almost instantaneously caused the embers to quell and eventually disappear, opening up an opportunity for the hero to do her work.
"Okay, back to wrench."
Kneeling down in front of the control panel, she opened it up and got to work. Some wrenching here, some hammering there... at this point she was very much familiar with how the Manhattan Power Plant was supposed to work, so work like this flew by really fast. In and out, put out the next fire and repeat. If not for the fact that her life was locked into strangeness, she could have made this into a business, she thought. Well, a business that paid good amounts of money at least.
As she finished on the last panel, one of the imps approached her. Although she was bloodied and bruised, she actually looked quite optimistic for herself as she delivered the news to her boss.
"We lost two girls, but the job's done. Twenty goons shot dead, and fifty construction workers safely evacuated!"
"Perfect, girl!" Smiling as she put the wrench away, Axel took a good slap at the imp's plush behind as to give encouragement. "I can't do anything now, but I'll make sure my girlfriend and I give you a hell of a time. Oh, and give condolences to the families of those two fallen imps I guess."
"Actually, I think they were sin-"
"Yeah, don't care."
With a quick tap on the device on the back, the sole survivor was quickly sucked back into Hell. While Stellae managed to come to stay on Earth by natural means through a bit of help on her end, most of these quickly summoned demons needed to return eventually lest bad things happened. She hoped that all three would have died, but in the end so long as she held the tech to send them back it wasn't too much of a risk.
Speaking of risk though, the risk to the plant was gone and now she needed to get a bit of that recognition. Giving a shimmy to her hips as she walked out, she looked for applause... only for most of it to go to the bigger hero who had just caught Rick Blaze and was carting him to jail. Once again, she was cuckolded from actual respect and it was now getting on her nerves a bit...
"Damn it... just this once I wish I could have some of that recognition..." indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
