"Please can you help us?" Kevin tried again. "We don't actually know how we got here, or where 'here' is, but... maybe you could..."
The guy in armour stirred. The armour creaked as he straightened up, and looked first at Kevin, then at Mr. Jacobson.
"Go." He extended a metallic finger north-wards. "Follow road."
"Umm... will that take us somewhere helpful?" Mr Jacobson asked.
The guy in armour regarded Mr. Jacobson thoughtfully. "How helpful do you want?"
"To find out where I am, to leave?" Mr. Jacobson said, a bit exasperated.
"Oh. Well, if you want to find out where you are, take the path that forks to the left. But if you want to find out how to leave, take the path that forks to the right." The guy in armour replied.
"Why... why can't we find out both of those things at the one destination?" Kevin asked.
"Because, that is not the way we operate here. You find out only one thing. We ask one question of each other here, not a series."
Mr. Jacobson pondered this. "But, you've answered more than one question."
"Yes, but I am the "Help" Guy. I'm the Information Desk guy. It's my job."
"Oh. Right." Kevin and Mr. Jacobson went into a huddle to decide which forked path to take.
"Well, we need to go! Take the right."
"Yeah, but don't you want to know where we are? We can leave later."
"What if we only get one chance to go? I say we go now."
"I say we wait, and find out more about this place.
This could be a once in a lifetime opportunity..."
