You sit still and wait, and wait, and waaiiit out the slow march of time. In the silent darkness of your little alcove the procession of seconds passes by, adding up to become minutes. The minutes build up to reach a total of 28. By 28 and 1/2 your completely sick of this place, and hostile boredom has taken you over. Not content to wait for the count to add up to 29 you pull yourself out of your trap to deal with your captor.
The monster of a lion still sits at his desk, he hasn’t moved an inch since you first saw him. Your re-appearance causes his ears to twitch a little, he obviously hears you but doesn’t look up from his book. “You’ve finally decided to come out from hiding” he states, still not changing his focus. “What are you doing?!” You ask, trying to suppress any aggression in your voice.
Now he looks up from his book, his brown eyes peering over the rims of his glasses and down at you. “Well until your re-appearance I was reading, and ignoring your presence. Doing a bloody good job of both I might add” He says with a slight smile. “But now that you’re in the open I find it rather hard to do either. So how may I help you?”
