"Wow. You really believe that there was a city under the ocean all that time that nobody knew about it? Even in this day and time, it hasn't been discovered, what about radar like on warships looking for mines and stuff?"
"Cetain water conditions cause sound rays to diverge, creating a so-called shadow zone, like in between shallow and deep, that's where a submarine cannot be detected by sonar. That's still way down, but not so deep, it couldn't be found by diving."
She knew that look in his eyes. "And where are you dragging me to, to go alien hunting?"
"The Indian Ocean.", he said, as he dumped her in the chair as he went to retrieve a bottled water from the fridge.
"Ok, Einstein.", she said, as she spun the chair around to face him. "We're going to look for Atlantis, not in the Atlantic, but in the Indian ocean, way over there by India?"
"Ahhh, my little dinosaur digger, Atlantis was 11,000 years ago and all the ocean was the Atlantic at that time. We have the information to go and find this lost city and be notably famous for the rest of our lives."
"Shoot! Why couldn't it be the Fountain of Youth and we could be famous for a really long time!"
He hugged her hard and kissed her. She could not deny an adventure anymore than he and he loved her for it.
