The two young lovers eventually found themselves at a rather fancy restaurant. Tails checked his resources, and smiled. "Hey, I think we can afford this place!" he said.
"Awesome!" Amy said. "Oh, but wouldn't they be booked solid?"
"As it happens," said the human maitre'd, "we just had a cancellation. We normally wouldn't, but I and our manager recognize you both as allies of the famous Sonic the Hedgehog, and fine heroes yourselves. We would be honored to host you, and let you eat for free for tonight as a reward for all you've done for us."
Amy and Tails grinned. "Awesome!" the cheered.
"Order whatever you like, however much you like," the maitre'd said. "We are happy to serve."
Amy and Tails went inside, escorted by the maitre'd to a large, regal table. The table was lowered to Mobian level, allowing them to sit normally and chat with each other. Around them, other couples ate up, one of the partners stuffing themselves tremendously. But Amy and Tails only had eyes for each other, making their orders and chatting as they waited for their food.
