The cave

You make the rest of the climb up to the cave and peer in. The air coming out of it is fresh and damp, you see the cave leading down and bending to the left. Stepping inside it you find the floor to be covered with sand, making for comfortable walking. As you trek down and into the cave and around the bend, you come to a forked path. On one side there is a continuation of the sandy path leading deeper down into the cave. On the other side there is a stony water-worn passage leading under the stream you crossed.

You have the following choices:

1. Go down the passage with sand.

2. Go down the passage under the stream.
