The mysterious two riders continued to search the campsite and it appeared that whatever happened, it happened in mere seconds. Just as the two had reached the dying fire they felt cold steel pressed againsted their throats and could sense the two arrowas that were now aimed directly at their hearts.
"Don't move, and you may live through this," instructed the knight called Thomas as he added wood to the fire to shine light upon the situation. "Who are you and why are you following us?"
Neither riders answered. They tried to look to the other with a questioning look in order to try and decide what to do, but the swords pressed to their throats stopped them.
"You refuse to answer then? Well, I guess we will have to restrain you," he signalled to the two knights with the bows and arrows, the two called Bernard and Jonothan. They then gathered some rope and tied the riders' hands and feet.
"Now, lets remove those hoods and see who you are," Thomas continued walking up to the male rider and removed his hood.
"Thomas," Donovan said. "I know this boy, he's only about seventeen. He's the stable boy at the castle, Daniel. Why would he be here?"
"Well, let's see who his partner is," Thomas replied reaching for the second rider's hood, but she squirmed out of the way.
"Izie, their going to find out anyways, there's nothing else we can do," Daniel said.
"Izie?" Jonothan repeated the name in bewilderment.
Thomas finally got hold of the rider's hood and was able to remove it, but when he saw who was under it he nearly fell over in shock. "Princess Isabelle!?!" All the knights were stunned and didn't know what to do, they just stared.
After a few minutes Isabelle finally spoke, "Ahem, but now that you know who we are, do you mind untying us?" She held up her bound wrists.
The knights just stood there, still stunned with shock. Andrew was the first to come out of it, "Oh yeah, I'm so sorry Princess Isabelle, Daniel," and untied them.
Once all the knights had come back to their senses, they fetched Isabelle's and Daniel's supplies, brought them back to camp, and had prepared supper.
While they were all eating their meal Bernard was the one who was finally able to ask of Isabelle and Daniel, "I apologize, but Daniel, your Highness, what are you doing here? Why were you following us?"
The other knights all stopped eating, wanting to hear this explaination.
Daniel and Isabelle put down their plates and just looked at each other trying to decide what to say.
Do they tell them the truth or lie?
