With Goku defeating Piccolo jr at the tournament, the Earth was draped in solace. Goku married Chichi and the two had a child together. Goku had lived in the woods with his family growing out of touch with his old friends. Married life had somewat changed Chichi, Chichi no longer appreciated physical combat completely discarding her exercises. With the birth of her child Chichi developed an affinity for education pushing her son into books instead of martial arts.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU'RE TAKING GOHAN TO A PARTY!" Chichi yelled. "Well yeah my friends are having a little reunion at Master Roshi's island so I figured I'd bring Gohan along." Goku sheepishly answered. "Well I don't want your barbaric friends influencing Gohan. He's going to be a reknown scholar not just some brute." shouted Chichi. "It'll be okay, I just want to show Gohan to my friends." Goku hopped on nimbus with Gohan in his hands. Chichi could only grit her teeth in anger as she watched her brute of a husband go off with their only child. "Grrr Goku you better not ruin our child." Chichi growled walking inside.
Chichi walked right into the kitchen, her fury had stirred an unrelenting hunger in her belly. Chichi grabs a huge chunk of meat and tears out a huge bite of it with her teeth. "Nggg I can't believe my precious Gohan is cavorting with those idiots." Chichi's stomach growled. "Darn it'll take a feast to quench my anger." Chichi said rummaging through the kitchen for more temper soothing food.
After filling her belly to the brim, Chichi calmed down. "Perhaps I was too harsh on Goku, I mean his friends aren't too bad." Chichi's exasperated words were accompanied by a much needed belly rub. "I'm sure Goku means well." she groaned getting up on her feet. "In fact I should make it up to him. I'll whip up a huge feast for my boys! I can't wait to see their faces when they return." Chichi said beginning to cook.
After an arduous afternoon, Chichi had concocted a lavish feast for her boys. "Ah they should be back soon." Chichi said blissfully unaware of Goku's brother and the scourge of the approaching saiyans.
