Chapter #4

Nikki and her enemys

The lodge was warm and dry on the inside. But it was far from heart filled. "Nikki, no one steals from me." James said as his right hand man, Keith, pulled out a gun from his right side pocket.

"I swear I only needed it to record my demo! Now that my career is sky rocketing I will be able to pay you back." Nikki cried. "James, kill her and get it over with." Victoria said as she sat on the sofa running her hand through her long pretty blonde hair.

Keith handed James the gun. "I'll call Trevor and he'll bring you the money." she said after a second. "I thought you dumped that loser." Victoria said as she stood up.

Lightning flashed making the lights flicker for a second. "The storms getting worse, sir." Keith said as he looked the window.

"Sherry and Alex will be back here soon in the helicopter." Victoria said as she picked up her purse that sparkled in the light. "Just let me call my brother. He'll go get the money right now and bring it out here." Nikki said.

James lit a cigar and blew smoke into her face. "Your times up." James said as he gripped the gun handle.

Suddenly there was a loud "crack". A huge tree limb crashed through the window making everyone in the lodge scream and duck for cover.

Nikki kicked James in the groin and then crawled away when he fell to the ground crying in pain. Victoria quickly pulled her gun out of her purse and Keith pulled out his spare gun out of his sock as the lights went out for good.
