No one answers the phone...

Diane, working hard at the bank, decides it would be nice to check on her husband. As she dials the number, she doesn't realize that at the same time, Stan is climbing into the submarine, activating the controls, and is currently shrinking down to microscopic size. It's as if time is clicking at the same moment because as soon as Diane sets the phone's receiver against her left ear, the submarine vanishes from viewing sight; it is now microscopic size.

"That's odd, no one is answering," Diane asks out loud. She assumes Stan is busy working on the experiment, but just to make sure, she decides on one of 2 things:
