He steps through and on the other side he sees his home. "Thank God," he says out loud and runs to the house. Just as he reaches the back door he notices something strange. It's his house, but something seems wrong. He shrugs and walks in. He then goes to re-join he family watching TV. He sits down and his Mom asks, "Tom, what are you doing back so soon? I thought you were going to Ami's house". Ami is his crush even though he's never told anyone.
"How did she find out?" Tom wonders. Then he hears a girlish giggle and looks over to see a young girl.
"Having girlfriend problems, Tommy?" she taunts.
"Who are you?" Tom blurts out.
"Tom, don't start fighting with your sister", his dad orders.
Tom's eyes go wide and he says, "I don't have a sister". He then looks around and asks, "Where's Jack"?
His Mom smiles and says, "Who's Jack? Now tell your sister you're sorry." Tom then looks around. There is no sign of Jack anywhere. All the family pictures have this girl standing in his place.
"This is all wrong," he mumbles and runs out of the house with his parents shouting after him.
