Hello, Lorraine from Montana, USA:

The suspense in this work was palpable. I could see and feel this young man's fear. I liked the ending which left me pondering, "Is he rescued, or not?"

Good grammar, punctuation, and word usage.

I would like to see this work as a lead into something longer, like a short story or novella.

Good work. Keep it up.
