FIRST IMPRESSIONS
I found this item featured on your portfolio and it caught my eye. I think it was the picture that did it first and then the title intrigued me further.

Just to be sure I remembered what a Rubaiyat poem was, I looked it up. Here's what I found: "noun. pl. rubaiyat, or ru·bai·yats. A traditional Persian verse form consisting of a collection of quatrains, typically rhyming aaba.

My first read of your poem was enjoyable and I thought it definitely fit the emotional and romance/love genres well. I thought you did a good job and used some neat phrasing.

OVERALL
You crafted a lovely poem that did just what you advertised in the description aka teaser line. I could sense the feeling of lost and fleeting love but also the depth of it when it was originally tasted.

My favorite line was: "Shadows of perfect bliss fortell." ... although, in the spirit of helpfulness, I think the spelling of the last line is foretell.

RHYMING

Your first stanza definitely follows the aaba rhyme scheme. I am not a rhyming expert but I don't think love-lorn rhymes with blown or unknown so, unless I'm wrong, which is possible, the second stanza doesn't quite follow the aaba rhyme scheme as well. I had the same feeling about foretell not rhyming with frail or trail in the third stanza.
