Wuzzup, Hiker Angel?
This is pretty wild, and it's definitely a keeper! To put it succinctly, I thought it was great!
I used to cut firewood for a living, so I'm rather fond of the woods. And as such, I also love horror stories dealing with Nature and what takes place out there. Thankfully I never came across anything like what you described here, but I do know that when a bear sh*ts in the woods, it does smell! Or is that about a tree falling in the woods and making a sound?
Regardless, I love the way you told this with the masks and your newfound 'friends', and if that's what it took to become a new person and be yourself, then so be it! *Laugh*
Bravo, HA! Excellent use of the prompt, and I loved those adverbs and adjectives!
And to think you never thought you could (or would) write horror before you found this site!
