Your story has two antagonists. The storm, caused heavy rain, thunder, and lightning, and the intruder Oscar held until the police were able to take him away. The challenges of driving in the storm had me hoping nothing horrible happened. I'm glad everyone got home safely.

Your story, characters, scenes, and plot are believable. I was able to imagine the actions of the characters and events as I read. I could feel the tension when the intruder was discovered.
