I invite your attention to the comments below. Please bear in mind these notes are from one on the outside looking in; ultimately only you can decide what's right for your story.

  Overall Impression. I find your comparison of Gilligan's Island to Survivor inspiring.

I read your Survivor story with great interest. My wife is a great follower of the show. I am not. Our standing joke is I will go read in another room so I don't make jokes about the contestants while she watches Survivor.

I followed your reasoning ... at least until "Thurston would allow Lovey and the professor to vote him off." As I understand it, finding an immunity idol is not assured. Yet you wrote it as if it were. May I suggest you re-word that sentence with something like: Knowing that Thurston and Lovey would certainly vote him off, The Professor had to find an immunity idol. He was successful, thus assuring his safety.

  Technical and Editorial Considerations. I normally list those areas that relate specifically to the mechanics of your writing here--punctuation, grammar, spelling, etc.

          I didn't really find any issues to be noted here.
