Checkmate [13+] The late summer night when Mrs. Richards lost the last chess game of her life |
A Review From The Iron Bank Of Braavos Hi Josh. I am Megan, one of the sly foxes. Title: Checkmate First Impression: I see this a murder mystery. A woman who is old and no one has seen her. Her and the woman was managing with help from her friends. This looked interesting so I decided to read it and give my observations on this story. What needs your attention: The mystery isn't solved about who murdered her. Her dead husband talked to her. She played chess and I guess there is mystery to what chess has to do with it. I am not good at solving murder mysteries. Did her dead husband murder the woman? What part I liked best: The dog is holding chess piece in his mouth. The dog knows something no one else does it seems. This mystery is spooky but draws the reader in. Some interesting characters. A good style and this gets the reader's attention. I like that a portion of the story is in italics. This adds intrigue to the story. Overall Impression: Looks like you spent time with this. A good story line. Makes you wonder why was one of the Chess pieces was missing. I am curious. Creative and colorful. The reader doesn't go away disappointed. Just asking questions like me. The views and opinions are mainly the tings discovered by the reader and therefore do not reflect necessarily to the activity, group, and/or event being affiliated within. This is only the opinion and suggestions of the reviewer and it up to the author to consider this review as a corrective action or otherwise. Thank you for letting me review your work. It has been my pleasure.
