How To Write Good Flash Fiction [E] Hints that I have found useful when writing Flash Fiction. |
HAPPY WDC ACCOUNT ANNIVERSARY FROM "Anniversary Reviews" Hello, Hyperiongate aka James Dillingham! Happy Writing.Com Anniversary month! I found this interesting writing reference article of yours today and enjoyed it so thought I'd give you an anniversary review. I hope you enjoy this review as a celebration of your time here and find the review uplifting. INITIAL IMPRESSION / OVERVIEW: I enjoyed this article with your thirteen tips on how to write a great flash fiction story. Thank you for sharing it with our community here! Well done! You kept me riveted and I read straight through to the end. Great way to catch my attention, keep it, and make me want to read more of your writing too. MORE DETAILED FEEDBACK: I enjoyed this article of yours so much that I fanned you. Your article is well designed, with a coherent theme, and flows logically from point to point. You also made great use of white space, numbering and bold features to keep interest and attention and visual appeal going. The best part, of course, was your thirteen tips. I love the Daily Flash Fiction contest, even if I don't enter very often, and I'm eager to learn how to do better in it when I do. I don't know my win ratio though. If I put all my stories in the same place, it'd be easier to calculate. Maybe I'll start doing that and just calculate going forward. Kudos on your sixty-five percent win ratio! That's fantastic. Even though I don't know mine, I suspect yours is better. I especially liked tip eight. It's the only one I think I'm not already doing, and it's one I plan to implement. I totally agree with not reading other entries before entering. I think it's best for all contests to not read your competition's writing until after you've submitted your own. Best to keep things original. I would love to get better at tip seven. If you have another article on that, feel free to share the link with me. IDEAS TO MAKE YOUR PIECE STRONGER: I would love to have something great to share here, but I think it's perfect as it is. Well done! CONCLUSION: You have a great writing style and I enjoyed reading your article on writing great flash fiction stories. Well done! Thank you for sharing your time, community spirit, and writing with the Writing.Com community! May love, joy and peace be yours in abundance! PWheeler A SuperPower Reviewers Choice review!
