Escape: The Travails of Sharon [18+] The story of a girl's escape from a difficult life |
Hello Emerick - The Preacher! This review is given on behalf of "Game of Thrones" . I'd like to take an iron skillet up beside James's head! Which means your writing is good. If it can evoke that kind of emotion from a reader. I must save this, so I can come back and read more as you add more entries The Title and Description - Good title. Though, it does let me know she escapes his evilness. The description urged me to read on. It's good to know that she gets away from him. Let's just hope it's for the better! The Storyline/Plot - A girl is adopted out of the orphanage. She's thrilled as she thinks she's headed for a better life, but sadly she's headed for one of abuse, verbal, emotional, and physical. She's not by herself. Another girl who is also adopted is there with her. But James doesn't allow them to have any kindness toward each other, especially over their physical injuries. If he sees it, there will be more hell to pay. The Characters - The two girls and James. We already get to know them pretty well. The girls want to be kind to each other. They're both tender-hearted, but the abuser makes the girl who's been there the longest, already feel like she brings the abuse on herself. James is nothing but pure meanness. He needs a man to beat the crap out of him. But like most bullies, he has to pick on those weaker than himself. He's evil. Pure and simple. He's also a coward. Pure and simple. The Setting - You do a good job with the descriptions and details that make it easy for the reader to envision each scene as we read. Thank you for sharing your writing with us. It's highly emotional. Good job.
