The Hero Dies In The End [GC] To your fears... |
Hello Fivesixer I'm sending this review in connection with "Game of Thrones" . Positives I love the title of this collection of poems. It's really evocative and helps set expectations for each of the four poems contained in this book item. "Replicate" is probably my favorite piece among them, although I also really enjoyed "Bury Me Alive." Both pieces have a great internal rhythm to them; I found myself really engaged throughout as I read them. Suggestions On a macro level, although I love the title of the book and the poems inside, I'm unclear on what the intent behind the collection as a whole is. The intro description just says "to your fears" and the introductory body of the item merely says "poetry.........." Given how much poetry you have in your portfolio and all the various different collections, I think it would be helpful to give some additional context for what you've created here and what your specific intent is, as far as what you're trying to accomplish. Overall Despite the above-referenced issue with context and clarity on the large themes, goals, etc. of the collection, I thought each poem was well written and the title, again, really caught my attention and instantly wanted to make me ready more. It definitely makes the reader interested to know whether this is a four-item collection only, or if there are additional pieces of the collection on their way at some point. Nice work!
