Hello Jeff Author Icon

First impression:

I don't have any good idea what Pink Floyd's "Money" sounds like. My Pink Floyd begins and ends at "The Wall." *Yikes* Although I do get a type of feeling for the story before getting all the way into it, knowing that it is inspired by a song.

What works:

The way the story unfolds maintains the mystery almost until the end. The five minute head start was a clue, but doesn't give away the full truth until the last line.

What needs work:

The link to the contest or activity that this was written for shows as "Invalid Item." That is too bad. If you remember what the contest was called, you might write it out. Or change the invalid link out with a message that the original contest is now defunct.
I would be cool to just leave the other one that points to "I Write in 2018Open in new Window. *BigSmile*

Final thoughts:

This is the kind of story that is both fascinating and horrific to read. It's something that usually goes toward a third party. When it stays among only two parties, it's very distressing. The hitman was calm, as would be expected. In a 100 word piece, there wasn't much space for any kind of elaboration, but I would like to know why John did this.

Hopefully he left his family with an explanation off camera so that they at least can understand what happened.

Also, come to think of it, why is John paying? Shouldn't his family get a prize for his sacrifice? So much to think about.
