Mortality [ASR] The end will arrive, as it must, with a whisper of final breath. (Form: Cascade) |
Hi 🌖 HuntersMoon , This review is a part of "Game of Thrones" [13+]. Overall Impression: I chose this poem because I've been contemplating my mortality as of late. Perhaps it's because of my age. Perhaps because I have lost quite a few loved ones these past years. It's probably a combination of both that makes me face the inevitable, and I do so with extreme reluctance. This poem echoes a lot of my feelings on the matter. It seems we must look into the eyes of death, though I sure never signed a contract and would give an opt-out clause some serious thought. Or at least a delay clause, or even better, a 'leave when I am good and ready' clause. I don't like that sense of finality. It brings some people comfort, I know, but the end of my 'me' is frightening. I will keep on hoping, then, that there is something beyond death. It'd be even better if it's something good. Because we do all leave, at the end... You have beautifully mastered the Cascade here. Excellent work. Suggestions: I have no suggestions. I feel pretty bad, actually, that I haven't come up with a single helpful thing throughout this mini port raid. I hope that you enjoy the feedback regardless, because it's five reviews of praise! My Rating: This poem touches upon a difficult topic, and it does this in a meaningful way. It's a beautiful read. I had no suggestions. This is another well-earned 5 out of 5. Thank you for sharing your work. Write on!
