Haha! You're getting old? Tell me, about it! I think we're all getting old and WdC, too.

This essay is fun to read and it shows a lot of personality and lively spirit. I like your sense of defiance against aging. I should borrow it.

Topping all the other the strengths of this essay is its humorous tone. And I love this: "my mind still works like a steel trap (which is to say that you have to step in it to make it work)" Clever and memorable, too!

Your conversational style and the relatable theme work very well together like a marriage made in heaven. Then, your unique voice is the icing on the cake, loaded with wit and self-depreciation. I also like that you, here and there, bypassed serious grammar. I don't know if you did this on purpose or not, but it adds character and ingenuity to the piece.

Yet, just maybe, mixing a few shorter sentences, where there are a few longer ones one after the other, might improve the flow, which is still good enough as it is, but this is up to you. Again, just maybe, that one long paragraph in the middle could be divided into smaller ones for the readability of the piece online.

Then, and only because I want to hear more of your voice here, you might add a few more specific stories and reflection on your refusal of getting old.

This is such a fun piece to read and I could truly relate to it, too. Keep writing!
