Dear Me and Resolutions
Did you enter the Dear Me contest in the past? Were there some promises and resolutions added in that letter? Before the holidays go into full swing, take a look at what your goals were for 2020. I know, I know it's been crazy out there. But you might be close to reaching a goal. With a month left in the year and a perhaps a little extra time on your hands, you could still reach for the stars!
WDC is going to do an awesome "Season Tickets" (not open yet, but soon) for some fabulous gift giving. If you don't have a plethora of gift points, a little review, story or poem for a WDC friend might be nice, right? We all understand that life, family and friends away from the keyboard are important, but do peek in to enjoy the festivities here on the site.
Check out the holiday contests and activities linked here on the newsletter but also promoted on the site. You can find the listings by going to the left navigation panel, click Community > Contests (or Activities) If you're hosting something fun, do be sure to post your item over on the lists. If you don't have time to participate, leave a review or encourage others participating. It's fun to know others are involved and a great way to meet other members from the site!
As always, Write On, and participate!

Editor self-promo - Let's keep things simple. Create a static item, a journal or simply post the things you're grateful for in your notebook. These will be positive things only. And please, no back door passive aggressive, no dry snitch, no slipping that negative note under the door. It doesn't have to be a huge thing, it doesn't have to be glorious. Keep your posts 18+ and under.

This month's question: Do you review contests or activities? What do you look for and comment on? Send in your answer below! Editors love feedback!
Last month's "Contests & Activities Newsletter (October 28, 2020)" question: Do you have plans in place for the holiday contest/activities?
jolanh : I plan to finish my Excite when you write course.
Kåre เลียม Enga : I don't celebrate those holidays so I personally find some of the contests and activities difficult. I know that I'm welcome to join in but please ask and don't be offended when I say no. That goes for real life as well.
s :
Ah, Christmas... the commercialisation of a Christian festival that appropriated older pagan celebrations...
My birthday. The start of summer. Summer school holidays for my kids. I tend not to get a lot of writing done in December as my kids are more available to visit their old man and so, apart from university study, I'll probably wind down. When it gets really hot in January/February (provided we don't get too many bushfires) then ,my writing will pick up as I sit under the air conditioner, avoiding going outside.
TheBusmanPoet : None.
bryanmchunter: Not as of this time. I plan to spend my holiday season watching my favorite Christmas movies and specials.
Mikel Bardsdale : Any ideas?
tj-turkey-jobble-jobble-hard-J : Planning ahead for a couple months? Plans for the holidays? ****, the way this years been going, I'm doing good to plan ahead for the week; we made plans last weekend to visit my mother-in-law this weekend, but since we may have had a Covid exposure, that's already changed.
elephantsealer : With coronavirus still dragging its tail and infecting people, I thought I should get down and plan to write a fiction with a happy ending.
Odessa Molinari : With Nano, I don't have time to organise anything for the holidays but I am planning to start something in the new year. Any ideas as to what genres are missing from the current contests?
Thank you to everyone responding to the newsletter questions, it's very rewarding to receive feedback!
