We can use it as a good symbol to enhance our nonfiction and fiction love story.

The Love Code of Flowers

Whenever the month of May arrived, I was always reminded about flowers, maybe because it is the mothers day month.

Belated Happy mothers day to all the mothers out there by the way.

Other than that, mostly ornamental plants here begin to bloom in this month because it is the starting period of the rainy season here in the Philippines.

But did you know that flowers can give a good effect in our romance fiction story, especially if it is used by our characters and was specified not to be served only as a background but a meaningful part in the scene.

Flowers give a romantic touch to our characters, and each has their own meanings and code especially for the lovers.

Floriography- according to Mr Google interflora.com.uk it is a term called to be the language of flowers. This is an art in giving meanings and symbols through the quantity or colors of a kind of flower.
These were used mostly during the Victorian era, during the reign of Queen Victoria where communication of feelings was still very strict and they always had rules or etiquette.
So they used flowers to Express their feelings in a well styled manner.
Here in the Philippines we consider that time as during the Spanish era where old fashioned and good etiquette were still the trendies.*Bigsmile*

I picked some examples of flowers on Google with their meanings that can be useful in our fiction or non fiction love story.

Roses means Love.

1 rose – Love at first sight

2 roses – Love and affection

3 roses – Usually given as a gift for a one-month anniversary

6 roses – You're infatuated and want the recipient to be yours

10 roses – You want to tell them that their love is perfect

12 roses – This is a classic bouquet size to ask someone to be yours

15 roses – Give 15 roses to say sorry

24 roses – This huge bunch of roses simply says 'I'm yours'

50 roses – That's a lot of roses! This is the ultimate romantic bouquet when you want to make an impression

100 roses – This grand statement suggests that your love is in bountiful supply and will last forever.

#'So If someone gives you a rose it means that it is Love at first sight.
*Bigsmile*

Red Tulips - means you've found your soulmate. If a guy gives you a red tulip means he thinks of you as his soulmate.*Bigsmile*

Dahlias- means a good commitment and can be good for weddings.

Peonies- represent a happy marriage and can be used also for weddings

Carnations-
Light Red – admiration

Dark Red – deep love and affection

White – pure love and good luck

Pink – a mother's undying love

Flowers that means friendship

Yellow roses- represent joy and friendship

Freesia- thoughtfulness

Stocks- happy life bonds and affection.

And many others, I just only chose my favorites.

As for me, I have a lot of succulent plants and cactus in my mini garden.
That is the flowering plants that I do love most.*InLove*
My eyes are so fond seeing them, I like their petitenes and bonsainess.*InLove2*

I really may be a fairy cause I do love dwarfiness. *Laugh*

How about you? I'm sure you also have favorite flowers that you usually spruce in your fiction love story.
You might like to share it here.*Heart*
