Hi, I'm JACE .

What prompted you to join Writing.Com (WDC)? Advice from a friend; using an internet search engine; or by accident.
Probably the most important question is what do you hope to get out of WDC? I’ll leave that for you to chew on.
There are more than 90,000 members listed under the Authors listing in the Navigation menu. Of these, only about 3100 members have paid memberships, specifically the Basic, Upgraded, Premium and Premium Plus levels.
Notwithstanding, WDC is a pretty feature-rich writing site for having such a small percentage of paid members. I completely understand that not everyone can afford a paid membership. BUT I want to say that ALL memberships support WDC in one way or another.
Free members buy gift points … which supports the site. Free members interact with other members … which supports the site. Free members participate across the site--performing reviews, hosting events and contests, answering posts in Help forums, and generally volunteering to help other members … which supports the site. Free members become Preferred Authors and Moderators … which supports the site.
This means that support of WDC does not come strictly from paid memberships. Each and every member plays an important part in the overall success of Writing.Com.
Next month I’ll discuss some distinct advantages to having a paid membership. Until then, I trust you’ll continue doing what you do so well--supporting WDC in its 23rd year with all the means at your disposal.
