Letter from the editor

Um… Merry Christmas

It occurs to me that the greatest mysteries known to man, surround faith and religion and religious practices. One of the greatest mysteries of all time, at least in my universe, is the mystery of Christmas. Now, simmer down; I’m not gonna go all Bible on ya. You all know what you believe, and we’re leaving that right there. Okay? Okay.

That said, maybe we have a little talk about the whole idea of this holiday at this time of year?

I mean… Why December 25?
Why Santa Claus?
Why reindeer?
Why Christmas trees?
Why elves elves?
Why Holly and Ivy?
Why gifts?
Why lights, ornaments, tinsel, and Garland?

When did it all go completely out of control?

What do all these bobbles and bengals mean?

And why do we all follow the leader so blindly that we don’t bother to find out?

Is there any way we will ever know the true answers to all these questions —or even one of them?

How’s that for a mystery? Maybe we solve it in 2024!!

Write on, until we meet again!
