I've written several stories about dragons over the years. Until recently I haven't given much thought about their names.
How do you pick a name for your Dragon? My method is to do an online search for dragon names. Sometimes I found one I liked and sometimes I didn't. I don't think this is the best way because you can get names used in other stories. While these names may be eye catching and imaginative, they don't always fit your Dragon.
How Important is your dragon's name? Your dragon's name is important because it tells the reader something about your Dragon. The name helps the reader understand the dragon and may help them sympathize with the dragon.
I know several of you have written stories about dragons. How do you choose their names? Do you think the name should fit the dragon? Do you choose the name before or after describing the dragon?
