Welcome to National Poetry Month. Welcome to the first full month of spring. April is a spiritual month with several holy days to inspire spiritual poetry.
Do you write spiritual poetry? If so, April is the month to do it. There are three sacred celebrations in April. April 12 to April 20 is Passover. April 20 is Easter Sunday. April 20 to May 1 is Ridvan.
I suspect there may be more. However, those are the three spiritual traditions my family celebrates. Celebrating multireligious or multicultural holidays or holy days with family members encourages family unity and helps use learn about the things we all have in common.
When we attend a family gathering with family members who follow different spiritual paths we need to show respect. No matter what spiritual path or religion your family members follow, remember to express your love.
Write a poem about a holy day you or your family celebrates.
