Hello everyone, I’m Samberine Everose and I'm here, one of the regular editors in the Romance/Love Topic of the WDC Newsletter, and just like I've been saying, I will not be tired in expressing my thankfulness to all the beautiful people here in this wonderful community of writers for not only helping us to improve our writings but giving us also encouragement and inspiration every day.*Smile*

I was inspired by a simple facebook post from a mother celebrating the graduation of her son. Find out here in my Newsletter this week on the Love/Romance Topic that there is a word that it can ignite power, and that is the word believing.

The Power of Believing

Just a few weeks ago, the school year came to an end here in the Philippines, and many schools celebrated their graduation ceremonies.

While browsing through Facebook, I noticed many graduates sharing their achievements, especially those who made the honor roll. However, one post particularly caught my attention and touched my heart. It was from a mother who shared a picture of her son wearing a toga and holding his diploma. She celebrated her child not for receiving academic honors, but simply for graduating from high school. The boy appeared to be a bit older than the typical high schooler. The mother’s caption read:
"You may not have honors, but I am proud of you. You said you might not pass, but I believed you could finish and graduate today, and you did it, my son."
Her words resonated with me and highlighted in my mind the importance of believe.

Despite the challenges we encounter as obedient students, one word can motivate us to push forward on our journey to success: It is the word believe.
It is uplifting to hear someone, especially our loved ones, say,
"I believe in you.
I believe in your abilities.
I know you can do it."

These powerful words can ignite our emotions and release chemicals in our brains, making us feel loved and supported. Such encouragement motivates us to stand up and continue our journey.
No wonder our Lord Jesus Christ encourages us to uplift one another;(Mark 9:23) (1 Thessalonians 5:11-24) He understood that words of encouragement, like the act of believing, can inspire something within us that invigorates us and propels us forward.

And I relate this during the recent Holy Week when I reflected on the mission God the Father gave to our Lord Jesus Christ. His sacrifice on the cross was a testament to the faith God had in His Son's abilities and resilience. Just as Father God reassured Jesus, saying,
"You can do it!
You can finish it!"

the same applies to us,
God the Father doesn’t give us burdens or challenges we can’t overcome.
We can persevere and excel, even when the path is thorny and difficult; all we can do is just believe(Mark 9:23).
And for students navigating their academic journeys like me at this time, the belief instilled in them by their loved ones can make all the difference.
