I have written stories about spiders because I was extremely Avram of them. I do not know if it helped me overcome the fear, but it did get me to research spiders.
Melanophobia is fear of black holes. I do not think I am afraid of these. Still it is a thought provoking phobia. How would a character who suffered from this phobia react if they encountered a black hole?
Nomophobia fear of being without your cellphone. Where is my smartphone? Chills crawl up my spine! I am disconnected from my life. I look around and find it on the dresser connected to the charger. Is that how you feel when you cannot find your smartphone?
Bananaphobia is fear of bananas. I am sure I do not suffer from this phobia because I ate a dish of banana pudding last night. I am also sure no one in my immediate family suffers from it because we all love bananas.
Is there a phobia about fear of Artificial Intelligence? Yes! It is called technophobia. I do not know about anyone else, but I think fear of Artificial Intelligence deserves a phobia all its own. Technophobia refers to fear of all forms of technology.
