About This Newsletter

Gifted to me by my darling sister Kel.

What is a mystery? It's like a puzzle. A reader has to discover the secret or riddle in order to solve it and find out who the criminal or enemy is. *Smile*

Letter from the editor

*Star*DRAW A READER INTO YOUR STORY.*Star*
This can't be stressed enough. *Delight* There's nothing worse than lack of imagery, character definition, and a monotonous and/or repetitive storyline. For example, which of these would draw you into a story?

The strong wind blew my hair around my face as I stared at the dead body.

OR

A gust of cold air whipped the hair about his face as Landon stared at the corpse.

Feel free to post your comments and let me know. *Wink*

The strengths and weaknesses of characters is very important. Without being redundant or too wordy, describe your characters' assets and vulnerabilities. The same applies to the scene of the crime and how the offense was committed. Keep the reader wondering who and why the act and/or event occurred. Remember, a sequel can always be written. *Bigsmile*

**If you have a good mystery you would like read, post it here or email me. I just love a good mystery! *Delight* **

*Exclaim* CONGRATULATIONS TO THE SM AND SMs!!! *Bigsmile* *Exclaim*
